*THE SECRET PLACE*
And you shall put it before the veil that is before the ark of the Testimony, before the mercy seat that is over the Testimony, where I will meet with you.
(Exo 30:6 NKJV)
God gave Moses a clear pattern of how the tabernacle should be laid out and the laws the Israelites should follow. The Holiest of Holies was where the ark and the Ten Commandments were. God told Moses He would meet with him in the Holy Place. However behind the veil (Holiest of Holies) only once a year the High Priest was allowed to go.
But only the high priest goes into the Most Holy Place, and only once a year, and always with blood, which he offers to God to cover his own sins and the sins the people have committed in ignorance. (Heb 9:7 NLT)
There was something special about this place the Holiest of Holies where God’s presence was. Jesus now having given Himself as a sacrifice has made it possible for all to have access to this place. As a born again believer you can access the tangible presence of God in this secret place. Jesus often separated Himself from crowds and went away to spend time in secret with His Father. And immediately He constrained His disciples to get into the boat and to go before to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent away the crowd. And taking leave of them, He went away to the mountain to pray. (Mar 6:45-46 MKJV)
Jesus taught that God see’s in secret He sees the heart. Whether you pray. fast, give or do anything let it be not to please man but God. There is no need to publish your good works of praying for the sick or telling people you are on a fast. If we do this it is no longer in secret and is done to please men. Jesus said He knew what was in man and was looking for praise from God. Live in the secret place in the love of God.
*PRAYER*
My Father I seek to please you. Help me to do what you want me to do and how you want me to do it. Father keep me humble and genuine in all I do in Jesus name. Amen
So that your deeds of charity may be in secret; and your Father Who sees in secret will reward you openly. Also when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by people. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already. But when you pray, go into your [most] private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, Who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open. (Mat 6:4-6 AMP)
