*OVERCOMING DECEPTION*
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. (2Co 11:3 KJV)
The fall of man resulted from the trickery of the devil causing Eve to fall and Adam afterwards too. Let’s uncover this deception so you will not be fooled again. Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. "For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." (Gen 3:4-5 NKJV) The Lord when pronouncing the judgment of the sin said this; Then the LORD God said, "The man has become like one of us, since he knows good and evil. He must not reach out and take the fruit from the tree of life and eat. Then he would live forever." (Gen 3:22 GW)
From above it would appear satan didn’t lie because he said God knows you’ll be like God knowing good and evil. Then the Lord said exactly that man has become like one of us knowing good and evil. Oh it seems the devil told the truth NO! Firstly man was already created in God’s image. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Gen 1:27 KJV) So he was already like God. Secondly the enemy said man would not die but they did. And death entered the world by this deception. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
(1Co 15:21-22 KJV)
What satan said to Eve had a part truth (i.e. lie) and a 100% lie mixed together, so ultimately it was a lie. The Lord did not want man to have knowledge of good and evil but only knowledge of good. So it was a part truth (i.e. lie) that man now knew good and evil but a total lie that he would not die. This is how the enemy still deceives today with a part truth which is actually a 100% lie. He may say you have no money you’ll never be prosperous. At that present time you may not have money. It’s a part truth but actually a 100% lie because God’s Word says you are prosperous. If we believe the lie death is the result. We must rebuke the lie and believe Gods Word because a part truth (i.e. lie) is not truth it’s a fact, but we don’t live by facts.
Facts are based on human senses and feelings. Therefore, brethren, it is not to our lower natures that we are under obligation that we should live by their rule. For if you so live, death is near; but if, through being under the sway of the spirit, you are putting your old bodily habits to death, you will live. (Rom 8:12-13 WNT) Live by the Word of God not facts. Facts are lying deceiving vanities hatched from hell, do not be deceived by them. If we agree with facts we doubt God’s Word and won’t see the fruit, but if we believe God’s 100% true Word we will see the fruit.
*DECLARATION*
I declare that I have the Wisdom of God and therefore cannot be deceived by the lies of devil. I am born of the Spirit of truth and therefore it is my nature to follow truth. I declare I will not be moved by facts in the natural realm. I am only moved by the truth of God’s Word. I declare that I have overcome the trickery of the devil and will never believe his lies in Jesus name! AMEN
