*SPIRIT OVER FLESH*
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
(Gal 5:22-24 KJV)
Life is spiritual. Everything natural has its life from the spiritual realm. God is spirit and created all things. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. (Joh 4:24 KJV) The higher level is the spiritual level. Humans are spirit beings with a body as a house to operate in the physical world.
As a believer your life is spiritual. The flesh fights against the spirit. At times you may feel like praying but your body is tired, this is the flesh versus the spirit. We know that all things physical including your body respond to the spirit. So if ever your body tells you its tired speak energy to it. A victorious life on this physical world is a life that is lived in the spirit of God. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. (Gal 5:25 KJV) Praying, worship, meditating on God’s word, acting in faith are all spiritual activities.
Read the opening verse again it shows the results of living a life which follows the promptings of the Holy Ghost. We will have love, joy, peace, endurance, humility, patience and victory over evil. It’s not an effort of works but by receiving God’s freely given gift of salvation it is your nature to follow your Father in the spirit.
*CONFESSION*
I am born of the Spirit of the living God. My nature is the nature of Jesus Christ. God is spirit and I am spirit. My spirit conquerors the flesh. The Holy Ghost leads me daily and I enjoy the victorious fruit of the spirit in Jesus name. Amen
THEREFORE, [there is] now no condemnation (no adjudging guilty of wrong) for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live [and] walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. [John 3:18.] For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has freed me from the law of sin and of death.
