THE BLESSING

*THE BLESSING*
Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. (Num 23:20 KJV)
Below is one of the Hebrew words for blessing according to the Strong’s dictionary.
H1293
בְּרָ×›ָ×”
berâkâh
ber-aw-kaw'
From H1288; benediction; by implication prosperity: - blessing, liberal, pool, present.
Blessing in Hebrew as in English has the meaning of benediction. Benediction is something bestowed or put on someone or something to invoke blessing that will remain and cannot be removed. Benediction is released by speaking. It is fine speaking that releases the ability to prosper in whatever the word spoken entails eternally. Once a blessing is released it cannot be removed where-as a curse can be removed.
Our opening verse is from the event where Balak the King of Moab was afraid of Israel and hired the prophet of God Balaam to curse Israel. This King knew whatever the prophet Balaam says always happens. However after burning sacrifices the prophet spoke blessing the Israelites before him displeasing the king. They repeated the mission from the mountain of Baal and again the prophet blessed Israel. This is where we get the famous verse of the prophet’s response to the angry king. God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Num 23:19 KJV)
Jacob (Israel) received this eternal blessing an empowerment to prosper spoken over him by his father Isaac ahead of his elder brother Esau. And his father Isaac said to him, "Who are you?" So he said, "I am your son, your firstborn, Esau." Then Isaac trembled exceedingly, and said, "Who? Where is the one who hunted game and brought it to me? I ate all of it before you came, and I have blessed him; and indeed he shall be blessed." (Gen 27:32-33 NKJV)
When Jacob blessed Joseph’s sons he crossed his hands with the right hand signifying the greater blessing on the younger. Joseph thought his father couldn’t see and switched his hands; however his father switched his hands back. And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head. And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. (Gen 48:18-19 KJV)
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it. (Pro 10:22 KJV)
The greatest blessing has been spoken over the members of the body of Christ, His Church. This Blessing is the Spirit of the living God in believers, the greatest empowerment ever! Believers have the blessing of Abraham and the greater blessing of the Holy Ghost. Every good word or prayer spoken over you remains and cannot be removed. A curse can be removed but THE BLESSING CANNOT BE REVERSED. YOU ARE BLESSED!

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (Gal 3:13-14 KJV)
