FORGIVENESS NOT VENGEANCE

*FORGIVENESS NOT VENGEANCE*
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
(Heb 12:24 KJV)
The first human act of murder in the bible was Cain killing his brother Abel. Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" He said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?" And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to Me from the ground. (Gen 4:8-10 NKJV)
Out of jealously Cain did this evil act, however notice God said Abel’s blood was crying out to Him. The blood of Abel cries out for vengeance and punishment. The Lord at that time before Christ came pronounced a curse on Cain. However the Lord said no one should lay a hand on Cain, showing the His mercy and protection upon Cain even then.
The blood of Jesus Christ also speaks and it speaks about forgiveness not vengeance. The desire of God is not for your human enemies to be killed but for them to be saved. This is why Jesus even prayed for the soldiers while they crucified Him. Likewise Simon prayed for the people who stoned him, one who was watching the act happened to be Saul who became Apostle Paul.
God has forgiven us and we should also forgive. And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. For if by the one man's offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) (Rom 5:16-17 NKJV) Adam made all guilty but Jesus has made all who believe in Him righteous.
*ACT*
Have an attitude of mercy and pray for the salvation of people who have been wicked against you. Cry out for salvation not vengeance, those who believe will be saved if not they forsake God’s mercy.
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.(Luk 6:35-36 KJV)
So you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. (Gal 3:26 NLT)
