*GOD LOVES HIS CHURCH*
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
(Eph 5:25 NIV)
There are many types of love, but Jesus describes the greatest act of love is when one gives their life for the one they love. "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. (Joh 15:13 NKJV) This is exactly what Jesus did for His church.
The Church made up of anyone who believes and confesses Jesus as Lord. All believers in Jesus are part of His church that is whoever believes and accepts His act of love. The Church is the bride of Christ, once again showing the love Jesus has for believers. Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
(Rev 19:7-8 KJV)
Jesus has given His life for you because He loves each member of His Church as an individual. Jesus did not die because there were many people needing salvation, but because He loves you individually. He knows your name and even if only one person would believe in His act of love on the cross He still would of done it. Just like with rescuing Lot from destruction as well as Noah and His family out of the entire world. Jesus loves His Church and will do anything for it. Abraham said, "Please don't be angry, Lord, and I will speak only once more. What if only ten are found?" He said, "I will not destroy it if there are ten." (Gen 18:32 GNB)
*ACT*
Be a blessing to all believers because just as you are part of the Church of Christ so are they.
For no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord loves the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. "For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wife, and the two of them shall be one flesh." This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
